The Building Project

Building a Home for Mercy

Ten stages, from bare ground to a church taking shape, and the work is not finished.

You have seen what has been built. What remains is drainage, the car park and a basement for our children: approximately GH₵2 million, met one pavement block at a time.

The Next Phase

What this phase pays for

The structure stands and the roof is on. What remains in this phase is the work that makes the church usable and safe: drainage that holds through the rains, a paved car park and forecourt, and a basement fitted out for our children.

  • Construction of drainageSo the grounds stay usable, and the building stays sound, through every rainy season.
  • Construction & pavement of the car parkThe forecourt and parking: the work every pavement block you buy goes into.
  • The basement for children’s ministryA proper place for catechism and Sunday school, instead of whatever corner can be found.
  • Approximately GH₵2 millionThe budget for this phase, met one pavement block at a time.

The Plan

What is done, and what is next

We build in phases so that every cedi raised goes immediately into visible work, and so that the parish is never in debt it cannot service.

    How to Give

    Every gift builds this church

All members are encouraged to buy a number of pavement blocks, ten cedis each, ten blocks at the least. Nothing is too small, and nothing is forgotten.

Next phase appeal: construction of drainage, construction and pavement of the car park, and work on the basement for children's ministry. Total budget approximately 2 million Ghana cedis. Pavement blocks are 10 cedis each, minimum 10 blocks.
“Every block you give brings us one step closer to blessing more lives for God’s Kingdom.”

    Pledge & standing order

Commit a monthly amount for a year or more. A steady pledge is worth far more to the project than an occasional gift, because it lets the committee plan and contract with confidence.

    Questions

    What donors ask us

Yes. Sons and daughters of this parish living abroad are among our most faithful supporters. The online giving link accepts international cards, and the bank details above accept international transfers. Contact the parish office if your bank needs SWIFT details.

Yes: pews, windows, stations of the cross and other elements may be sponsored in memory of a departed loved one or in thanksgiving. Speak to the Building Committee about the memorial inscription and the Masses offered for your intention.

Gifts marked for the Building Fund are used for the building project alone, held in the dedicated account, and reported separately from ordinary parish income.

Very much so. Professional skills (engineering, quantity surveying, law, accounting, project management, design, haulage) are worth a great deal to a project like this, and so is labour.

And every parishioner can pray. Register with the parish and indicate your skills on the registration form, and the committee will be in touch.

    Thank You
