Welcome Home

A community shaped by mercy received, and mercy given

Our parish takes its name from the devotion revealed to Saint Faustina Kowalska, the image of Christ with two rays, pale and red, flowing from His pierced heart. Those two rays give our church its colours and our community its character: the water of Baptism that makes souls righteous, and the Blood that is the life of souls.

Here in Okponglo, East Legon, that devotion becomes ordinary, daily life: the sick visited, students from the nearby campuses welcomed, and a congregation that has outgrown its walls now building a permanent house of worship.

  • Sacramental life at the centreDaily Mass, weekly Confession, Adoration and the full preparation for every sacrament.
  • A place for every ageChildren's liturgy, a vibrant youth wing, young professionals, and societies for every season of life.
  • Mercy in actionOutreach to the sick, the bereaved and families in need, through our charitable societies.
The Building Project

Building a home worthy of the Mercy we receive

From a cleared plot of red earth to foundation, frame and roof, this church is rising on the giving of its own people, and it is not finished. The phase before us now is drainage, the paving of the car park, and a basement fitted out for our children: approximately GH₵2 million, met one pavement block at a time.

Watch the appeal from our Parish Priest and the Building Committee.
